New 2020 Ford Explorer recalled for minor safety issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling thousands of 2020 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs over a safety issue that could increase the risk of a crash.

FOX Business reports the manual park cover could be missing from the SUV’s that could lead to the manual park release lever being accidentally activated, allowing the vehicle to move if the parking brake isn’t applied.

According to FOX Business, Ford said it’s only aware of one accident related to the issue. It happened during the vehicle and resulted in damage but no one was injured.
