Measles outbreak: more cases reported

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports over 1,164 cases of measles confirmed in 30 states.

This is an increase of 16 cases from last week. The majority of cases are in people who have not been vaccinated.

The state of New York continues to be the hardest-hit state. A state of emergency was declared in Rockland county during the height of the outbreak was lifted last week.
