Yuma police confirm reports of shots fired was false alarm

Yuma Regional Medical Center ( YRMC ) reported police activity at the hospital was due to suspicious noise near YRMC’S public parking garage Friday afternoon.

According to the Yuma Police Department ( YPD ), it received a report at 12:54 p.m. and conducted two searches of the hospital. There was no evidence found related to shots fired.

YPD cleared the scene and the hospital resumed its normal activity, according to hospital officials.
