Record day for the Yuma County Fair

All week we have been covering the 67th Annual Yuma County Fair.

Everything from the food, games, rides, and of course live exhibits have drawn in hundreds of people daily.

So, if you haven’t already visited, you’re missing out on one of the best events in town.

According to the fair’s marketing manager, this year has been one for the record books.

Blake Wofford said, “It was a record Wednesday for us, probably since we opened. So we would like to thank the entire Yuma community for coming out and supporting us. It was great to have everyone out here. We hope you guys come back this weekend.”

Every year they plan to make it bigger and better.

All of the profits from the annual fair go right back into the local economy. That includes planning and prepping the fairgrounds for the hundreds of events hosted there year round.

Small business owners, both local and national, turn a good profit as well. They say this is a great opportunity to attract new customers.

When asked about the busy week, Fair Manager Eric Wofford said, “Seeing the community have a good time makes it all worth it.”

You still have the rest of the weekend to head over to the Yuma County Fair.
