Rural Metro responds to trailer fires

According to Rural Metro, at about 12:15 Sunday afternoon, there was a trailer fire in the area of 5th St. and Vaughn Ave.

Officials say there were 10 plus 911 calls on this fire.

Reports came in from the neighborhood stating there was a trailer on fire with lots of black smoke.

There were two people in the home at the time of the fire along with two dogs.

One of the dogs was fine but the second one was treated on scene for smoke inhalation with oxygen, both are doing fine now.

The firefighters quickly went to work putting out the fire.

There were no injuries to report.

There was also a secondary fire call on Francis Street.

This one was the 3000 block of Frances Street and turned out to be smoke only.

No word on the cause of these fires
