Pet Talk: Meet Scion and Toby

For today’s Pet Talk, we meet a special dog and cat who need a permanent home to enjoy.

A cat as grey as rain clouds and a pup with a coat of gold.

First is Scion, a sweet calm and affectionate cat who has a sleek coat of gray.

Once he heard me approaching, he peeked her head out of his bed area to look for head scratches.

His paperwork says he has trouble using his back two legs, but he should not be overlooked for this reason.

Scion is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 pounds.

He needs a home that will watch him closely and love him dearly.

And Toby, a 10-year-old Q ueensland Heeler who still has a bundle of energy to offer.

Because he is on the older side, T oby needs a good home that is willing to love him and give him a permanent home.

Toby is 86 pounds and his less energetic demeanor makes him a good candidate for a family with older kids.

The Humane Society says he could work well with other dogs and they encourage potential owners to bring by other pets for a meet and greet if you have an interest in Toby.

Both pets are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Yuma.

They are open Tuesday through Sunday.

If you are interested in adopting Scion or Toby, you can visit HSOY’s website.
