Pet Talk: Meet “Sassy” and “Joy”
Happy “National Cat Day!”
First up is a cat named Sassy. Sassy is a long-haired black and white cat that was surrendered to the Humane Society of Yuma in June. Unfortunately her owners didn’t have any time for her and now she is stuck at the shelter waiting to find her forever home. Sassy loves to play and mingle with others. She is estimated to be around five-years-old and weighs about 13 pounds. Sassy can at times live up to her name so it’s important that her new family let her do her own thing. She would do best in a home without young children.
Next is a dog that definitely lives up to her name. Meet Joy. Such a friendly girl. Joy has been in search of her forever home since June. She is a beautiful red and brown color and is believed to be a mix of German Shepherd and possibly Shar-Pei. Joy loves her food and would do best in a home with a large backyard to play in. She walks great on a leash and is thought to be about six-years-old.
If you are interested either Sassy or Joy, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @Madisonkyma.
