Hospice of Yuma Presentation
On Wednesday, May 2nd, the San Luis Library, in collaboration with Hospice of Yuma, will host “Manejo de Duelos/Compassion & Care When You Need it Most” at 4:00 p.m. Presenter Lorena Guerra will discuss how to care for loved ones entering the final stages of life. Topics include how to cope with stressors, make important decisions about end-of-life care, and maintain a positive outlook. Information will be provided in English and Spanish. There is no charge to attend.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Heritage Library! Cinco de Mayo is an annual observance held on the fifth of May to commemorate the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

On Friday, May 4th, the Heritage Library will host a screening of “La História de Mexico” at 2:00 p.m. Families can enjoy a documentary that highlights Mexico’s history and culture. The film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles.

On Saturday, May 5th, visit the library at 11:00 a.m. and enjoy a kid-friendly craft!

There is no charge to attend. The Heritage Library is located at 350 S Third Avenue. For more information, call (928) 783-5415.

5th Annual LibraryCon
Fans of all ages are invited to the Main Library on Saturday, May 5th, for the 5th Annual Yuma County LibraryCon! Participate in fan panels, games, crafts, and cosplay from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All attendees will receive a free comic book (while supplies last). All ages welcome. There is no charge to attend.

— Creation in Action: The Basics of Theatre Performance
— Name That Tune!
— Geek Escape Room (as experienced at Yuma Con)
— Be a Power Geek!
