Body found of missing person involved in Lake Ferguson boating accident
The body of the missing person involved in the Lake Ferguson boating accident on April 21st was found Wednesday.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the victim was 37-year-old Sergeant Ryan Harmon who worked for Calipatria State Prison and was off-duty at the time of the incident.
Authorities said that two boats collided around 4:00 p.m. at the lake off the Colorado River and 14 people were involved on both boats during the collision. Low visibility made the search challenging and the body was found close to where the accident happened, authorities added.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
