Motor Vehicles Division: Vet program a success

It’s become a way for drivers to personalize their vehicle all the while raising money for a variety of charities. In the past couple of years the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Division has increased the number of license plate designs from a few dozen to well over fifty options for drivers to choose from.

Last year, MVD decided to attempt to make the veteran plate process easier by adding it to its website http://www.servicearizona.com. During 2017, more than 6,200 veterans and their families were able to visit the site and order a personalized plate. Before adding it to the site veterans would have to bring documentation to an MVD office and prove they were enlisted. Now, verification can take a few moments.

MVD also offers a variety of other personalized plates ranging from Cardinals, Diamondbacks and one recognizing fallen officers all of which can be ordered from their website.
