Three move on to replace former Rep. Shooter

The Republican precinct committeemen and women of Legislative District 13 in Yuma nominated three people Thursday night to fill the Arizona State House seat former Rep. Don Shooter was expelled from last week.

The house voted to expel Shooter from the state legislature for allegedly sexually harassing multiple women.

The precinct committeemen were required by state bi-laws to put forward three names and they chose Paul Brierley, Tim Dunn, and Cora Lee Schingnitz.

Those names will be put forward to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors and they will make their decision on Monday morning. News 11 will be at that meeting and we’ll let you know who gets picked Monday morning and in our newscasts.
