Pet Talk: Meet “Joy” and “Elton”

Calling all animal lovers, it’s Monday and News 11’s Madison Kimbro is giving us the rundown on two adoptable animals in tonight’s ‘Pet Talk.’

First up is Joy. A gray and white short-haired cat. She was abandoned and left in a neighbors background. She seems to be very attached to her toys, however she does enjoy being held. She can be quite skittish, but that should change once she gets use to you. She gets along with other cats just fine, it’s just important she not be around any large canines. She would make for a great indoor companion. Joy is spayed and has been at the shelter since September.

Next we have Elton. A green-eyed tan pitbull. He was a stray found in Yuma and is full of energy. He loves to run around so his owners must be active and or have a large space for him to roam. His favorite activities are playing with tennis balls and swimming in the pool. He loves the water. His energy can sometimes be a bit much for other canines so if you do have another dog in the household it’s important they meet first. Elton weighs a solid 70 pounds and he has been at the shelter since August.

If you are interested either Joy or Elton, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through SUNDAY and for more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @MADISONKYMA
