Transgender woman convicted of sexually assaulting 10 y/o girl in bathroom

WYOMING- A transgender woman was convicted last week of sexually assaulting a child inside of a bathroom in Wyoming.

Michelle Martinez, who previously went by the name Miguel before becoming a woman, invited a 10-year-old girl inside of a bathroom. The girl was the daughter of a family friend.

According to WSVN, the child told her mom immediately after the assault occurred and was brought to the hospital. Sources say that the girl was crying and told law enforcement that, “it hurt inside.” Martinez touched the child’s genitalia and breasts before penetrating her, according to Billings Gazette.

When Martinez was being questioned by police, she became “hostile and defensive.” Martinez allegedly said the accusations was a “publicity stunt.” Court documents showed that Martinez had a blood alcohol content level above the legal driving limit.

The nurses who examined the girl saw redness and found abrasions on the minor.

Martinez can possibly face up to 70 years in prison for the incident.
