8th annual ‘Scary & Safe Trick Or Treat’ moving to new location

The Yuma Police Department will be hosting the eighth annual “Scary & Safe Trick or Treat” at the Yuma County Fairgrounds on Halloween night from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

With the help of the Yuma County Fair Inc., the event is a tradition for the benefit of the children of Yuma. YPD plans to continue this tradition for many years to come.

The location change was made due to construction and a reduction of available land at Riverside Park, which was used for parking when the event was held in previous years at the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park.

Local, state, tribal and federal public safety agencies, along with businesses and local non-profit organizations, will come together at the Yuma County Fairgrounds to give away “tricks or treats”.

Admission is $1 per person. Hotdogs, chips, and water will be sold at $2.00 the combo. All proceeds will be donated to the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
