Power outage affects more than 2,000 customers

11:50 p.m. – There are now 496 customers without power. Estimated time of restoration is 8 a.m. Tuesday.

7:09 p.m.- The neighborhood surrounding Winsor Park remains without power. Beams of flashlights and the roar of generators can be heard as residents continue to cope with the loss of power. Crews are still working on replacing power poles.

UPDATE: There are now 940 customers without power in that area. Estimated time of restoration is 6 p.m. There are also 111 customers without power in the area of 32nd Street and Catalina Drive. The estimated time of restoration for those customers is 1:30 p.m.

More than 2,000 residents are without power after winds have knocked several power lines down. APS says they are working to restore power in Yuma where residents have been impacted. The area most impacted is from 24th Street to 16th Street.

APS crews are on scene and there is no estimated time of restoration. Officials have closed off 20th street between 27th Avenue and Avenue C.

If you have been affected make sure to not open your fridge. APS also reimburses for bags of ice. Make sure to keep your receipts.
