Suspect detained following barricade at Rancho Caballo neighborhood

UPDATE (8:12 P.M.): Officers have detained one suspect following a barricade that happened early Thursday evening.

The suspect is undergoing a medical evaluation.

UPDATE (6:10 P.M.): The Yuma Police Department responded to a domestic violence call that turned into a possible barricade situation Thursday evening.

YPD said officers responded at 2:11 p.m. to the 4100 Block of Arabian Lane.

Right now officers are not sure if there is anyone inside the home, but they’re treating the situation as if there is someone inside.

There are about a dozen YPD officers at the scene.

YPD is also not sure if there are any victims inside the home.

Officers are using a loudspeaker to try and get any people outside of the house.
