The ‘Eligio Ramirez Park’ ribbon cutting ceremony

At 6 o’clock pm, Tuesday evening, the city of San Luis recognized one of their own for their work with the youth community. Mayor Herardo Sanchez spoke to a crowd who were present for the official ribbon cutting of the ‘Eligio Ramirez park.’ Eligio had been volunteering in San Luis since the early seventies and has coached hundreds. The park features a multi-purpose field, a play set and restrooms. Mayor Sanchez spoke about Eligio’s commitment to the youth in San Luis. Eligio Sanchez also worked for more than a decade with the ‘Comite de Bien Estar’ who builds housing for low income families.
