Stolen car returned to owner; woman arrested

A woman was arrested after police officers found her driving a stolen car.

Jessica Etrata, 28, El Centro resident was booked into Imperial County Jail for felony possession of stolen property and an outstanding search warrant.

Police officers got a call from the car owner who said he heard his Honda Civic being started. He then went outside and saw his car driving off.

The incident happened in the 500 block of South Second Street.

Officers found Etrata driving the car near the fuel pumps at 485 East Main Street.

Etrata was arrested and the car was returned to the legal owner.
