Donations toward Red Kettle Campaign experience significant drop

The Red Kettle Campaign for Yuma’s Salvation Army was $45,000 short of their 2016 goal to raise $145,000.

Staff say, contributions across the Southwest Division were also down.

Lieutenant Tim Brown, Yuma County Coordinator for the Salvation Army, says donations for the Southwest Division, which includes Arizona, New Mexico and southern Nevada, are more than a million dollars down from last year, 2015.

According to Lieutenant Brown, donations made to the Yuma Salvation Army help local community members.
