While we wait for father time to turn the page on 2016 and unveil 2017 many of us are looking at the new year as a new chapter. That means resolutions; whether it’s to get into shape, stop smoking, travel more or a variety of other goals research has shown that out of the millions who set resolutions only about 8% keep them.

Dr. Paul Marciano author of “Carrots and Sticks Don’t Work” has a few tips on how to ensure your success. He says you should be very specific as to what you want to accomplish, measure your success, share your goals with friends and be patient, progress may take a while.
