Shoppers wait hours for Nintendo NES Classic Edition

A Nintendo classic, is making a comeback as one of the hottest holiday items. The Nintendo NES Classic Edition.

Jorge Cedeno is the first person in line at the Yuma Palms Best Buy, he’s been waiting since 6PM the day before.

“I’m looking forward to it, cause I’ve never owned one before, I was a SEGA guy”

Mikayla Roberts is the third person in line. She had just gotten off work and heard that Best Buy had a limited amount of Nintendo NES Classic. She decided to take the chance and wait in line for hours to get the $60 game console for her boyfriend.

Roberts says,” I didn’t know it was the hot ticket item for Christmas this year.It’s a present for my boyfriend, so hopefully he doesn’t see this until Christmas.”

The miniature size version of the 1985 classic has thirty built in games. Gamer’s favorites like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong. Shoppers waited all night to get their hands on it.

Cedeno is the first person in line, and had a strategy to secure one.

“The game plan was to be the first one here before anyone else came out here, so we’ve been out here since six o’ clock…the day before.”

It was worth the wait, this gaming system has been selling out like crazy.

“When I saw this, I was like “Oh wow it’s sold out everywhere, all the bigger shops like eBay, Amazon, were selling it for way too much,” says Roberts.

The electronic store only had twenty-three available to purchase, it was Sold out in Seconds.
