Police are still looking for gunman in Somerton shooting

A fight that started at a local liquor store turned into a person getting shot in the face.

The fight happened Sunday at around 3:30 p.m. in Somerton at 200 block of East Crane Street. According to Somerton Police Department, a male sought help at the station after a confrontation with another male. He was transported to the hospital where he received medical attention.

It is still unknown how many people were involved in the fight and shooting.

A resident even said a bullet pierced through her wall. However no one was injured.

“This all appeared to start from somewhere else while investigating this crime it appeared there was a fight that occurred at the Express Market it’s on Somerton Avenue where these individuals involved in the fight, at least the victim and another person from another car after that on video we can see the two cars follow each other and moments later that’s when the shots were fired,” says B. B. Cotman, chief of police.
