Topic of the Day: Ca Prop 64

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

In 2010, California voters defeated Prop 9 which if passed would have legalized recreational marijuana. On Tuesday, the Golden State will be facing Prop 64 that has been building momentum across the state; the movement has gained support from investors, social media groups and even former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

According to the latest Hoover Institution Poll, which was conducted in mid-October, 56 percent of respondents support Proposition 64 and 34 percent oppose the initiative. If passed, those 21 and over would be allowed to use recreational marijuana.

Those sales would be taxed and money from those taxes will be used for research, treatment and enforcement.

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

Do you think California will vote “yes” on legalizing recreational marijuana? And why?
