Early voting in Imperial County

CALEXICO, Calif. – Imperial County Registrar of Voters gave Calexico residents a chance to vote early on Saturday. The I.C. Mobile Office RV is visiting eleven communities to make it easier for people to vote ahead of Election Day. Officials said dozens of people have voted through this program which makes voting easy and convenient for them. This is the first time the program has been used. The mobile office will operate till Wednesday, November 2nd.

“We’ve had a great turnout, actually, at the various locations we’ve been at so far. We’ve been in Salton City, Westmorland, Niland, Calipatria, and El Centro. Today we’re in Calexico. And the turnout so far has been good. It’s kind of hard to compare because this is the first year that we’re doing it,” I.C. Public Information Officer Rebecca Terrazas-Baxter said.
