NAACP Yuma County Branch #1016 to host fundraiser banquet

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The NAACP Yuma County Branch #1016 is hosting their annual Freedom Fund Banquet on October 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

NAACP invites the community to the Cocopah Resort and Event Center in Somerton for a fun night of fellowship and celebration.

Tickets are $75 per person which includes cooked chicken and ribs, a DJ, a special guest speaker from Mesa and many more.

Beverly Cade, president of the organization, said hosting an event like this provides them to give back to the community.

"We just hope that people come out to support us because the funds that we raise are the funds that take us through the entire year for all the events that we hosted…I hope the community gets together and have a good time that night," Cade said.
