HPV vaccination rates increase

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV/ CNN) - According to a recent CDC study, HPV vaccination rates are on the rise in the United States.

Researchers studied data from 2015 to 2020 and found that adolescents ages 13 to 17, with at least one dose of the vaccine increased from just over 56% in 2015 to more than 75% in 2020.

Those with series completion increased from just over 40% in 2015 to nearly 60% in 2020.

The study also found that the gender gap in vaccination rates between boys and girls dropped from 13% in 2015 to 3% in 2020.
