YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - In celebration of National Make a Difference Day, the Humane Society of Yuma is asking for help.

On Friday, October 21, 2022, they have over 50 volunteers making phone calls, asking for donations from supporters and community leaders.

“We’re calling it a cell-abration because we’re asking our volunteers to put their cell phones to good use,” shared Annette Lagunas, Executive Director.

“It’s a unique way for the community to participate and we’re hoping that by calling over 500 people in one day, we will be able to raise much needed funds to continue caring for homeless pets in our community.”

How to donate

Furthermore, volunteers will be calling between the hours of 10:00am to 2:00pm, but the "cell-abration" might continue throughout the day.

Not only that, mailers will go out to those that they are unable to reach.

However, you can also donate by calling 928-782-1621.
