The White House

WASHINGTON (KYMA, NBC) - President Donald Trump is participating in America Reads The Bible Tuesday.

According to the event's website, America Reads The Bible is a weeklong event for leaders and citizens to participate "in a public reading of the entire Bible, bringing together voices from government, education, business, the arts, and the Church."

The event's organizers say President Trump is reading Second Chronicles, Chapter Seven, Verses 11-22, which includes the oft-quoted verse about humbling oneself, praying, and seeking God's forgiveness and healing for the land.

Other leaders participating in the event, which will go until Saturday, includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
