Chief of Staff Susie Wiles diagnosed with breast cancer

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump announced Monday his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

President Trump announced the diagnosis in a post to social media saying Wiles would begin treatments immediately. However, he said she would remain in her role during her treatments.

Afterwards, Wiles released a statement saying the cancer was detected early, and said she was "encouraged by a strong prognosis."

Wiles has served as the president's Chief of Staff since the beginning of his second term, and had also served as the president's co-campaign manager for his 2024 presidential campaign.
