WASHINGTON (CNN, KYMA) - The House passed a sweeping spending bill to end the partial government shutdown.

President Donald Trump is expected to sign the bill quickly, ending the shutdown after three days.

However, the deal only temporarily funds the Department of Homeland Security, creating another funding deadline in just two weeks.

The vote marks a hard-fought win for President Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson as they had pushed GOP lawmakers to back the measure despite some resistance.
