Elon Musk’s DOGE reportedly no longer exists

(NBC, KYMA) - One of the more controversial initiatives of the Trump Administration has come to an end early as Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) no longer exists.

DOGE was supposed to be in operation until July of next year, but DOGE is no more.

That's the word from the U.S. government's chief human resources officer who told NBC News it will be up to individual agencies to carry out DOGE's cost-cutting mission and that "efficiency remains a core objective of the Trump Administration."

Musk, who backed President Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election, left the government in May of this year.
