Sen. Mark Kelly on intelligence briefing regarding Iran Strike
(KYMA, CNN) - Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) talked about the latest intelligence briefing on the U.S. and Israel launching a strike against Iran Tuesday.
Sen. Kelly said some of his biggest concerns, the why and how this war helps affordability for Americans, aren't being addressed. He also says the "why we're doing this" is constantly changing as well.
Kelly said he believes that the current U.S. administration doesn't think more than two steps ahead, referencing that someone may take the place of the recently killed Iranian supreme leader, and he doesn't believe it was considered in the original strategic plan.
"When you don't have a goal, and you don't have a timeline, that's when you wind up putting more Americans at risk. We already have six Americans that have paid the ultimate price. We don't want to see any more," the senator expressed.
Kelly stated that he had more questions than answers, which he says is typical of these briefings.
