Early voting in Georgia Senate runoff begins

COBB COUNTY, Geor. (NBC) - Early voting got underway in Georgia Saturday in the state's Senate runoff election.

This comes after Georgia's supreme court ruled on Wednesday that counties could offer voting on the Saturday after the Thanksgiving holiday.

However, Republicans had tried to block today's early voting.

Overall, lines of voters in Cobb County waited for a chance to cast their ballots in the U.S. Senate runoff between senator Raphael Warnock and republican challenger Herschel Walker.

Moreover, the election will be on December 6.
