Airport in North Carolina briefly closes after crash between airplane and box truck

RALEIGH, N.C. (NBC, KYMA) - Operations are back to normal after a crash between an airplane and box truck that caused a brief closure of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

The airport briefly closed its airfield around 2 p.m. Eastern after a plane crashed into a small box truck causing a slight inconvenience, according to some passengers who took to social media to report the disruption.

Airport officials say there were no injures to the truck driver or the two people on the airplane.

The airfield was able to reopen around 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
