KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Friday, September 23, 2022, three people suffered injuries following a car accident.

Moreover, in a press release, the crash occurred at approximately 1:50pm in El Centro.

Additionally, there were two vehicles:

  • A Ford F-550
  • Black 2015 Dodge Challenger (the car the three travelers drove in)

The accident

The driver of the F-550 traveled on SR-115 northbound at an unknown speed while the Dodge Challenger travelled SR-115 southbound approaching Keystone Road.

Furthermore, the F-550 driver made a left turn onto Keystone Road to which the Dodge Challenger swerved right off the roadway.

As a result, the swerving caused the vehicle to roll several times, resulting in a fatal injury for one of the passengers, who was 22 and declared a John Doe.

Not only that, the female driver and the other male passenger, aged 18-and 22-years-old respectively, suffered major injuries.

The aftermath

Once the highway patrol responded, medical personnel came and transported the female driver and the male passenger to get medical attention.

The driver sought medical help at Desert Memorial Hospital while the other passenger went to Pioneer's Memorial Hospital.

Interestingly, all passengers wore their seat belts. However, the crash remains under investigation.
