San Luis to celebrate class of 2020 starting tonight

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Due to the impact the pandemic has had on the graduating class of 2020 and the community as a whole, the City of San Luis is highlighting the graduating class of 2020.

Starting Friday, May 15, to May 28, 2020, the City of San Luis will be showcasing the 2020 graduates that reside in the City of San Luis, Arizona.

The city says graduates will be highlighted on the City of San Luis official social media pages (@SanLuisAZGov) and we will be displaying their names on the LED sign located at the corner of Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Main Street.

Submissions began starting May 13, 2020, and are open until May 27, 2020, no later than 5:00 p.m.

How to be featured:

High School, College, and University graduates residing in San Luis (AZ) should email publicrelations@sanluisaz.gov or direct message the official City of San Luis Facebook page (@SanLuisAZGov) with the following:

  • A photo or collage of the graduate
  • The name of the graduate alongside the school they graduated from
    • If they graduated from college or university please include their major
    • In addition, a brief message for or from the graduate, after all, we are celebrating!

“While the pandemic may have changed the way we celebrate all graduates, the City of San Luis remains committed to celebrating the accomplishments of our residents. Education is a key component for a prosperous society, we could not be more proud of all your accomplishments. On behalf of the City of San Luis, congratulations Class of 2020."
