FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Sweltering temps still creating expected heat warning for both counties

As temperatures continue to increase, residents need to be aware of heat alerts on the way for all of the Desert Southwest

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After the near normal temperatures today, high pressure will build over the region by the weekend and persist through the 4th of July.

This will result in hotter temperatures with widespread highs between 110-115 degrees.

Slightly cooler temperatures are possible by the middle of next week.

Mostly dry weather will persist through at least the next 7 days.
