Hunter Biden in hot water; pleads guilty to federal tax crimes and gun charge
WASHINGTON (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Hunter Biden reaches a tentative plea deal with federal prosecutors in tax crimes and possession of an illegal gun after a five year investigation.
If convicted, Biden faces up to ten years in prison on the gun charge and one year for each tax charge.
House Speaker McCarthy said, "It continues to be a two-tier system in America. If you are the President's leading political opponent, the DOJ tries to literally put you in jail and give you prison time. If you are the President's son, you get a sweetheart deal."
Hunter Biden plead guilty in a Delaware court on misdemeanor tax charges.
Prosecutors slapped him with use of an illegal firearm and felony drug charges, but agreed to dismiss the gun charge if Biden completes a two-year probation period.
