Desert Hills hosts Women’s Golf Clinic

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Desert Hills Golf Course hosted a Women's Golf Clinic Saturday.

The clinic is an opportunity for women of all skill levels to come and learn the basics of golf, and learn some advanced techniques.

The clinic took place at 9:00am.

Golf coordinators allowed each attendee to work at their own pace.

One of the golf instructors, Drew Smith, mentioned how this clinic can help golfers advance their skill levels.

"We're always about growing the game, introducing new people, and trying to advance the game. And golf is a great social exercise. It doesn't matter what your skill level is…You can enjoy the game," Smith detailed.

Following a brief meeting, the golfers split up into three different groups, which included learning how to chip and putt, hitting the ball out of the bunker, and focusing on distance at the driving range.
