Somerton Seniors celebrate Father’s Day

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Somerton Senior Center hosted its 16th annual Father’s Day lunch on Wednesday in Yuma.

Over 50 seniors and families gathered at the Yuma Landing Bar and Grill.

The annual event honors all the fathers who are members of the senior center. 

Richard Morris said he enjoys celebrating with his second family. 

“To celebrate Father's Day, it feels really good. The senior center is my second home now, I consider most of them like a new family," said Somerton Senior Center Member Richard Morris.

Father's Day takes place on Sunday, June 18.

But the center said it’s never too early to celebrate all the wonderful dads in our community.
