Westbound lanes of I-8 on Colorado River Bridge to be closed
Caltrans said I-8 construction will close all westbound lanes on Interstate 8 near Yuma on Tuesday, June 13
YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. and IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - All westbound lanes of Interstate 8 on the Colorado River Bridge will be closed on Tuesday, June 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Construction crews will replace seismic bearings, said Caltrans.
The 4th Avenue on-ramp to westbound I-8 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. as well.
Drivers can use the detour by exiting towards 16th St./U.S. 95 and turning left onto 16th St. and continuing northbound towards 16th Street.
And turn left onto W. 16th St./U.S 95Â and continue heading westbound on 16th St. Then turn right onto 4th Ave./Winterhaven Drive and continue north on 4th Avenue towards the I-8 on-ramp.
Caltrans advises drivers to travel safely and be cautious of construction crews.
