Japan quarantines cruise ship
Passenger tests positive for coronavirus
YOKAHAMA, Japan (KYMA, KECY) - Japan's government says it will quarantine a cruise ship after a passenger tests positive for coronavirus.
Health officials say the 80-year-old man boarded the Diamond Princess on January 20 and disembarked on the 25.
They say he developed a cough before boarding, but didn't develop a fever until January 30, a full five-days after he left the ship. Health officials believe he was infected in Hong Kong.
On Monday, health officials announced they would quarantine the vessel. It should take about 24-hours for them to review the health status of all guests and crew members.
