Attempted homicide on Christmas Eve, investigation active

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to an attempted homicide that occurred earlier on Christmas Eve.

Through a press release, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30am in the area near E. 22nd Street and S. 1st Avenue.

Once the officers arrived, they located a 50-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

So far, the investigation is ongoing and the YPD has not found any suspects.

If anyone has any information about the case, then dial YPD at (928) 373-4700 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.

Should the information lead to an arrest, you may receive a $1,000 cash reward.
