Attempted murder suspect on the loose
CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Calexico Police Department needs your help finding a man accused of trying to kill his brother-in-law.
Police say 23-year-old Ronaldo Aguilar Rodriguez pulled out a gun, threatening to kill the victim Thursday morning.
That's when officers say the victim kicked Rodriguez's hand.
The gun went off but no one was injured.
Still, it set off a barricade situation.
"He refused to come out to a police directive... which then turned into a standoff with our United States border patrol board Techteam and El Centro Police Department negotiators... and order him to come out," said Sgt. Manuel Ceja.
Rodriguez escaped by climbing out of a window.
Calexico police says if you see Rodriguez, please do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
