City of El Centro to host Christmas tree lighting ceremony and fair

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of El Centro will kick off the holiday season with the Christmas Tree Lighting and Street Fair.

From a press release, the event starts on Friday, December 2 at 5:00pm on 11th and Main Streets.

In addition, Mayor Tomas Oliva will host the ceremony.

The event will also feature an appearance from Santa Claus and a decorated Christmas tree.

There will be live performances by the Southwest High School Orchestra and the Original Cool Deal (OCD) Rock Band as well.

Overall, there will be fun activities, food, artists and other vendors at the fair.
