Yuma ‘Wreaths Across America’ chapter to hold final fundraiser

The organization hopes to put a wreath on every veteran grave in Yuma County

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - You can avoid cooking the night before Thanksgiving and help local veterans.

The Yuma chapter of Wreaths Across America is having its final fundraiser of the year at the American Legion post 56 Wednesday night.

Baby back ribs and fish will be served up starting at 4 p.m. for $10 a plate.

Every year they raise money to put a wreath on the grave of every veteran in Yuma County.

There are over three-thousand wreaths needed this year and the chapter is almost at its goal.

“We do a lot for veterans all year. This is one way to remember how much they have done for us. They will not be forgotten and we will always be there for them," Winnie Moir said.

If you can’t make the dinner but still wish to pitch in you can donate to Wreaths Across America here.
