Holtville volleyball opens playoff run with win against Tri City Christian

The one seeded Vikings were able to take care of business against a 16 seeded Eagles squad - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

HOLTVILLE, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Holtville Vikings volleyball defeated the Tri City Christian Eagles in straight sets to take their opening matchup in this year's Division III CIF playoffs.

The Vikings made easy work of the Eagles, jumping out to an early 4-0 lead in the first set.

Holtville's lead only continued to grow from there, as they would end up taking the first set 25-6.

Sets two and three would end up being more of the same, as the Vikings would take both those sets at scores of 25-10.

Head coach Chelsey Strahm's squad will next be in action at home on Friday, Oct 28 for the quarterfinal round against the nine seeded San Pasquale Golden Eagles.
