Dia de Los Muertos celebration coming soon

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of El Centro will host a Dia de Los Muertos celebration on November 2, 2022.

At the present time, the event will be at the El Centro Community Center, located at 375 S. First Street.

Additionally, the celebration starts at 5:30pm and will run until 8:00pm.

During the celebration, there will be an unveiling of the altar and "ofrenda."

Also, there will be live acoustic entertainment provided by Ruben Hernandez, accompanied by Sunshine Folklorico, a traditional cultural dance troupe.

Equally important, the event is free of charge and traditional Mexican refreshments and pastries will be provided.

Moreover, the public is invited to bring a photo of their loved ones to the altar.

The City of El Centro asks the community to provide photos to the Community Center by October 28, 2022.
