Philadelphia Phillies advance to the World Series

PHILADELPHA, Penn. (NBC) - Fans of the Philadelphia Phillies celebrated after the team secured a spot in the World Series.

As a result, they went wild in the streets, climbing poles and chugging beers.

On Sunday, the Phillies beat the San Diego Padres 4-3 in game five of the National League Championship series at Citizens Bank Park.

However, they will compete against the Houston Astros for the commissioner's trophy on Friday.
