YPD: Man hit by vehicle, driver left scene

UPDATE (10:48 P.M.)

The Yuma Police Department (YPD) said officers were called out to a possible disturbance with shots fired call, but when they arrived at the scene they found a man who was hit by a vehicle.

YPD said the vehicle left the scene.

Officers said the 30-year-old man who hit was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

YPD is still on scene investigating.

BREAKING NEWS: Yuma police were investigating what appeared to be an active crime scene Monday night in the area of 17th Avenue and 3rd Street.

We have reports of numerous police officers at the scene. However, at this time officers are not releasing any details about the nature of the incident.
